Speaker: Thomas Hansen, MD, Vice Chief Academic Officer, Clinical Training and Education
Thomas Hansen, MD: Hello, my name is Thomas Hanson and I'm the Vice Chief Academic Officer for Clinical Training and Education. It's a long title to say that I have oversight for graduate medical education, continuing medical education and simulation for the enterprise. Residents and fellows, you are now part of a health system that has 11 teaching hospitals in four states. We have 243 residency and fellowship programs and over 2100 residents and fellows. Advocate health as an enterprise is now training over 1% of all residents and fellows in ACGME accredited programs in the United States. Starting this fall, I will be making rounds to each of the teaching hospitals twice a year and hope to be able to meet with the resident and fellow council at each visit to hear what we are doing well and what we can do better. Please feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions or comments or concerns, I can be reached at Thomas.Hansen@aah.org On behalf of the Chief Academic Officer team, Thank you for all the work that you do for us and for our patients.
