Cassady Hossenlopp, MD: Hi, my name is Doctor Cassidy Hossenlopp I am a general pediatrician and I have been with Advocate Health for six years.
Why did you choose Advocate Health after residency/fellowship?
Cassady Hossenlopp, MD: I chose to stay with Advocate Health after residency because I wanted to stay in a place that I felt comfortable with. I enjoyed my training here and thought it was wonderful and I wanted to have colleagues that I know can trust and see as also friends.
In what ways does Advocate Health foster a collaborative and supportive environment?
Cassady Hossenlopp, MD: One example of a way that Advocate Health um helps promote a collaborative environment is I would say the subspecialty and consult service. So as a general pediatrician, I'm often faced with patients who have needs that are outside of general pediatrics. So I've really come to appreciate our subspecialists and now particularly the e-consult service to help get some of our patients, the subspecialty care they need within a short period of time. And I think that has been great to help support me as a professional and our patients.
Can you describe your recruitment and onboarding experience? What did you enjoy most about the hiring process?
Cassady Hossenlopp, MD: I felt like my recruitment and onboarding process was overall fairly quick. Um easy and fun and interactive. I got to meet with the recruiter who assessed the needs and wants I wanted as a professional and future general pediatrician in the clinic group that I would thrive best in and I think she helped match me with that group exactly.
What advice would you give to current residents or fellows considering continuing their career at Advocate Health?
Cassady Hossenlopp, MD: My advice for residents and fellows who are planning to stay with Advocate Health or who want to stay with Advocate Health would be to express your interest early and reach out early. So that hopefully you can continue your careers here.
