Tell us about yourself and why you chose to come to this AYP mission trip.
Zachary Roper: Hey, what's up? AYP family? My name is Zachary. I'm 24 years old. I came here to Miami to serve the church, serve the community and meet some great people.
What was the most impactful moment of your mission trip and why?
Zachary Roper: For me, the answer is pretty simple when the work is done. I love to see the faces of those that are gonna be directly impacted the most and to hear them talk about how much they appreciate it and how much it means to them that never gets old.
How did this mission trip strengthen your faith?
Zachary Roper: I would have to say the devotionals uh every day, we would have one in the morning and in the evening. I got to lead out one of them and it was great. I think it's a powerful experience when you're able to dive deep into the Word of God with other young professionals. I think we were all blessed. I know I was.
How do you plan to apply what you've learned from this mission trip in your daily life?
Zachary Roper: One thing that comes to mind for me is patience. Uh This is something that I've been praying about for a while. And here in Miami, there are so many experiences where I feel like God was testing my patience. So when I return, I wanna be sure that I can take the experiences here and try and be more patient.
What's your message to someone considering whether they should come to the next AYP mission trip?
Zachary Roper: Every one of you needs to be here. These mission trips are incredible. You're gonna be able to meet good people, eat good food, learn a new skill, sightsee and see a new city. It is 100% worth it. It's worth the money. It's worth the time. It's worth the PTO. I'm a testament. I was in Los Angeles last year. I came back to be in Miami this year and I'm gonna be wherever the next mission trip is because these are incredible. Check it out.
