Speaker: Eddie Hyatt, Orlando, Florida
Tell us about yourself and why you chose to come to this AYP mission trip.
Eddie Hyatt: Hey everyone. My name is Eddie Hyatt. I'm here in Miami for the 2024 AYP mission trip. I came here because I primarily wanted to serve others and use my gifts and abilities for the glory of God, and I'm so grateful that the Lord has used me to be a witness for others and to share the love of Jesus everywhere I go and I'm so privileged to be here and I'm hoping to be in the next AYP mission trip.
What was the most impactful moment of your mission trip and why?
Eddie Hyatt: So the thing that was most impactful for me in this mission trip was how I was able to share the GLOW tracks and the Christian literature to the uh people in North Miami. And it warmed my heart to see how open they were to receiving the Christian literature because I was expecting more of a adverse and more of an apathetic uh response. But it really touched me and really made me feel that, you know, God is working even in cities like Miami to share His Kingdom because time is short and people got to hear the message. So I'm glad I could have been a part of that.
How did this mission trip strengthen your faith?
Eddie Hyatt: This mission trip has really helped me to see God's hand leading in everything, you know, whether it's through small prayers or praying for big things. I've seen God's handy work in this mission trip and I'm so grateful to be a part of this team and to just witness how God is working in His people and allowing us - people like me - to be used by Him to bless others and to be a blessing to others.
How do you plan to apply what you've learned from this mission trip in your daily life?
Eddie Hyatt: So the one thing I've learned from this mission trip that I will definitely take to my everyday life is to be more punctual and to stop procrastinating and by God's grace I will get there.
What's your message to someone considering whether they should come to the next AYP mission trip?
Eddie Hyatt: My message to those that are considering attending the next AYP mission trip. All I can say is that I think you should go because it's a great opportunity to meet new people from around the country. And just to be, you know, have a community of, of, of a family that you know, cares about one another, loves one another and you know, we're all here to bless others and to serve God and, and by serving others and just uh being the hands and feet of Jesus. So, you know, just come with an attitude of humbleness, an attitude of working for God and amazing things will happen, I promise.
