Tell us about yourself and why you chose to come to this AYP mission trip.
Ren Robinson: Hello. My name is Ren. I'm originally from Virginia and I've never been on a mission trip before. But I saw this as a perfect opportunity for me to go to a different location and help spread the Gospel with those who may not have it in the local area. And also as an opportunity for me to grow my relationship with Jesus Christ as well.
What was the most impactful moment of your mission trip and why?
Ren Robinson: For me, the most impactful moment was looking back on the restoration projects that we did at the local academy and church and seeing that we actually made a difference and seeing how appreciative the local community was of our efforts, definitely gave me a feeling that I want more of and it made me really encouraged to go and help people in my own community that I may see are in need. Um It doesn't have to be a mission trip that you go on to help people that are in need. So that was definitely the most impactful part for me is just seeing the gratitude and the difference that we make um in the local community.
How did this mission trip strengthen your faith?
Ren Robinson: This trip has strengthened my faith in a number of ways. The most prominent being. It only takes a little bit of faith to impact those around us. Seeing the influence that our group had on those around us, encouraged me and strengthen me to have that same faith in my local community. And to those I come in contact with because I never know when God may want to use me to spread His love with others.
How do you plan to apply what you've learned from this mission trip in your daily life?
Ren Robinson: One thing I can apply from this mission trip in my daily life is definitely helping those around me who I see that are in need or just sharing a word of encouragement and telling someone that Jesus loves them. Sometimes all people need is a word of hope in their lives. And that's definitely one of the most powerful things we can do as Christians and what Jesus has called us to do as well.
What's your message to someone considering whether they should come to the next AYP mission trip?
Ren Robinson: To anyone considering going on an AYP mission trip, I would 100% recommend going on one. It is one of the most rewarding experiences you can have. And it also helps you grow your own relationship with Jesus. Whether you are looking to further grow your relationship with Jesus or if you're just getting started, is definitely a good way to get closer to Jesus and also to share space with like-minded believers and to have a camaraderie and fellowship that can help you grow in your own relationship with Jesus. And also help those around you in the local community.
