Speaker: Kim and Eastin

Introduce yourselves!

Kim and Eastin: Hi, I'm Kim. I'm Easton. We live in North Carolina. I'm an elementary school teacher and I'm a writer and we're really excited about this journey.

When thinking about the future, what type of relationship do you hope to have with your child's birth family?

Kim and Eastin: Adoption is so close to our hearts. We adopted our first daughter and we're still in really close contact with her birth mother and we know the value of our children, knowing their stories and knowing that they're loved everyone. Yeah. Absolutely. So, we look forward to having a peaceful and loving relationship with our birth mother.

What one word describes your family best? Why?

Kim and Eastin: One word to describe our family, I would say is adventurous. We like to try new things and go to new places and experience what the world has to offer with our little one. Absolutely. We love nature and just learning through it.

What makes your family stand out?

Kim and Eastin: So something unique about our family is that seven years ago, we all moved together from New York to North Carolina. So I have three sisters and my parents came with us on this adventure and we all live within 20 minutes of each other. Yeah, everyone is super close. All the kids uh act like they're each other's siblings and we do pretty much everything together. So it's one giant support network, which is really great.
