Speaker: Presley Dorsett
Presley Dorsett: Hi, my name is Presley, and I did this course because I wanted to be more competitive in a medical assistant job field. I want to be a physician assistant and I needed patient care hours and being a medical assistant is a great way to gain them. I highly enjoyed this course because it was self-paced and all of the assignments you submit, they were graded within. 24 hours, and I'm excited to see where this will take me in the future.
Presley Dorsett: I really like the simulations that were given.
In what ways did ACT make you feel supported, even though the program was online?
Presley Dorsett: ACT made me feel supported because everything was done in a timely fashion. I would submit assignments and they were done within 24 hours, which allowed me to continue on with the course. And they were helpful in helping me find hands-on training for American Heart Association, the BLS certification.
What advice would you give to someone who is considering enrolling in an ACT program?
Presley Dorsett: I would say enroll sooner rather than later because it is self-paced and you have 12 months to do it. So why not work on it on the weekends or whenever you can and have time. That way, you're still continuing through the process and again, you can take, like I took 6 weeks, and somebody else can take 12 months. So it just depends on how much time you're willing to spend each week.
