Speaker: Lizbeth Bucio

Lizbeth Bucio: Hi, my name is Lisbeth Buso, and I've always been interested in um developing more skills within the healthcare while I completed my undergrad, um, and part of this, um, I was looking for a course that allowed me to be doing both at the same time simultaneously without having an overworkload and being able to pace myself and. Thankfully I found myself with advanced clinical training, and I am so thankful for the opportunity to be able to study and do these things.

Describe your overall experience completing the ACT program. What stood out to you the most?

Lizbeth Bucio: My experience with the ACT program was outstanding, um, there were a lot of scenarios that they put before us that we had to work with, um, make critical decisions as we in dwell into this in May role, and I was really thankful for that opportunity as well.

How did the interactive activities (like quizzes, infographics, and clinical challenges) impact your learning?

Lizbeth Bucio: In regards to interactive activities, I think the most helpful area was the clinical challenges. I think these really developed my critical thinking and thinking in a bigger picture rather than just memorizing facts like for the quizzes, um, so this really helped expand my knowledge more.

In what ways did ACT make you feel supported, even though the program was online?

Lizbeth Bucio: I think what made me feel very supported was getting emails from the instructors letting me know with feedback about what I've done right and what I've could improve on not necessarily done wrong, but could improve on when working through these um clinical scenarios.

What advice would you give to someone who is considering enrolling in an ACT program?

Lizbeth Bucio: I think if someone's considering enrolling or not, I would highly encourage if your time schedule looks a little different sometimes, if you can't afford to go to school for a full time after undergrad or during undergrad and you want to be investing in your education, I think this is a great option for you, um, look into it, it's an amazing course, it will teach you a lot of things that could correlate to your undergrad and clinical settings. It's a, it's a great bridge to invest in.
