Speaker: Courtney Cahill

Courtney Cahill: Hi, my name is Courtney Cahill, and I've always wanted to pursue a career in healthcare. I needed a job that I could up my clinical hours for my postgraduate plans, and MA was the perfect choice for me, and I specifically chose Advanced eClinical Training because I was very attracted to the aspect that it was an online self-paced course, and that was super important to me considering that I was a full-time undergraduate student.

Courtney Cahill: I really enjoyed my experience with ACT because of the fact that it's self-paced. That made it super easy for me to create my own schedule and work at my own pace. I specifically enjoyed the simulation activities. I felt like they were very accurate, and I could picture myself in that situation, which is the perfect way to mimic a real life situation online.

How did the interactive activities impact your learning?

Courtney Cahill: The interactive activities like the quizzes and the clinical challenges were probably the most important aspect to my learning. I think that they were the most beneficial because I could truly picture myself in those situations, and I was a little bit concerned going into this program that I wouldn't develop the necessary skills to handle an in-person situation since it's online, but I found that that is not the case at all, and I feel extremely confident with what I've learned.

In what ways did ACT make you feel supported, even though the program was online?

Courtney Cahill: ACT made me feel super supported because the professor was very responsive to all emails, all questions, and always had office hours and was always very open to receiving communication and feedback and questions, and I really appreciated that about this program because I truly did feel supported throughout.

Courtney Cahill: I would say to definitely enroll in this program, because of how flexible it is and how supportive the professors are, and how much you truly learn. I really do feel like it's one of the better programs out there, um, because I just feel like the quality of the education is very high, and I could tell even online, I could see that through the screen that the concepts that we were learning were very applicable to real life and they were real skills that we need to know, and there was so much information that was provided, so much support, so many resources that if you are different. Type of learner, if you're a visual learner, if you like to read or audio, whatever type of learner you are, this program supports all types, and I truly found that I learned so much and I would definitely recommend this to somebody who wants to pursue a career as a medical assistant, especially if you're someone who's already super busy and you can't find the time to do an in-person program. This one is especially nice because of the fact that it's online, and I don't think That that should deter anybody from joining this program. I think that's actually one of the pros about it, because you can have a full-time job, you can work, you can have kids, you can be a full-time student, and you can still complete this program throughout its entirety, because you can do it at your own pace, and whenever you are able to work on it, you can. So, I really do recommend this for all types of people out there, no matter your situation. because of how great it is.
