Bethany Smith: Hi, I am Bethany Smith. I am a medical aesthetician in South Carolina. I chose to do advanced clinical because it was self-paced and I already am working a 40-hour job.
In what ways did ACT make you feel supported, even though the program was online?
Bethany Smith: The instructors were so helpful, actually. Um, so there was a test that I failed, and I like reached out to the instructor and she was so, so helpful and went over all the questions with me. And I honestly just kind of overthought a lot of them, so it's kind of nice to have that like reassurance, and she explained things like in a different way that like wasn't necessarily on our module. So that was like really nice to hear it in a different form, and they, um, like the access of emailing them was really helpful as well, um, because I did a lot of stuff like after hours, after work, so I needed that kind of communication.
What advice would you give to someone who is considering enrolling in an ACT program?
Bethany Smith: If you are hesitant in starting the program, I would just say that um there's so many people who have done it before you and will continue to do it. It is a really great learning experience, um, and just relax and enjoy it because there's so many different things that are in the modules that you probably have never heard of before or just can hear it in a different light. Um, the instructors are there to support you in any way that you need, and they're all very kind. And if this is a new thing that you have never experienced before, or if this is something that you're already in the field and wanna be certified, I think it's a great option for you.
