Speaker: Aleana Perez
Please introduce yourself and tell us what inspired you to pursue training with Advanced eClinical Training (ACT)
Aleana Perez: Hi, my name is Eliana Perez, and what inspired me to pursue training with advanced clinical training was because I was looking for a flexible way to get my certification, um, given that I am in college and I'm still a full-time college student, so I can't really go to in-person classes. So it was just the best way for me to pursue getting a job as a medical assistant.
Describe your overall experience completing the ACT program. What stood out to you the most?
Aleana Perez: My overall experience, um, completing the ACT program was just honestly amazing. I feel so prepared to take the certification exam, and I was able to get it done in like 3 months, which is perfect because that's how much time I had before my fall semester started, so it was very engaged. I did learn a lot and so I feel like the certification will be pretty easy for me to complete.
In what ways did ACT make you feel supported, even though the program was online?
Aleana Perez: So ACT did make me feel uh supported, even though it was fully online because there was always discussion activities where we would reply to one another, so we could really kind of see that everybody was in the same boat and there was always uh an option to schedule office hours and meet with somebody, so it's not just like, uh, completely online and you're on your own, like you can meet with the instructors, and if you're struggling with something, you can just reach out to them.
