Women's History Month
How do you inspire inclusion to create pathways for women to thrive at work and beyond?
Liane Sanson: Hi, everyone. Happy Women's History Month. I have two ideas that come to mind when they ask the question, how do you inspire inclusion to create pathways for women to thrive in the workplace? And beyond. The first is related to empowerment and advocacy. Uh myself included and many women I know we want more out of life and careers, but we don't know exactly what um nor how to ask for it. So I think we need to challenge ourselves and challenge each other uh to be really clear about where we wanna go, how we wanna get there and how to ask for what we want for our lives. The second thing that comes to mind is the assignment of challenging projects and the the inclusion of the decision making process. When I was starting my career in my early twenties, I had a leader and a mentor who still is today um that grew up with a family of seven sisters. So he knew women really well and he did a great job in including them. I was asked questions, I was asked um to make decisions and I was put on projects that were well beyond what I thought my capability was at the time, but it grew me and made me realize my full potential. So I think we need to pass that down and we need to give women opportunities to thrive and show their, their talents. I think women have an incredible ability to, to tie in emotion and logic for, for excellent outcomes. Um And I think when women are given the opportunity to show that um businesses thrive and people thrive. So, thanks for, thanks for hearing my opinions here and I wish you a great Women's History Month. Thank you.
