Women's History Month
How do you inspire inclusion to create pathways for women to thrive at work and beyond?
Jo Kinsella: Good morning, everybody. Um A good friend of mine at Accountability, asked me to answer the following question for Women's History Month. Um How do I inspire inclusion for women to thrive at work and beyond. Um I have a 14 year old daughter who I'm raising um here in the US. And um I want to create a safe and collaborative environment. I want us all to do a better job of helping the next generation really represent the world as it is today. And I want women to work harder. I know we work hard enough, right? Um But sometimes um the people that kind of empower women the least, sometimes the women themselves. So um I want to shine a light on that a little bit and the way I think about um really creating a safe environment, whether it's at work or outside um For women is my approach is the four C's Oh Hi cat keeping it real. Um Be curious, be coachable, be confident and be consistent and probably the last one is my biggest. All those things, coachability, curiosity and confidence, don't just show up overnight. They take time, they take energy and they take effort and sometimes they take blood, sweat and tears. Um But you know what, show up every day, show up and try to be the best version of yourself and show up and try and inspire the next generation of women and the next generation of human beings were all pink on the inside.
