Speaker: Mario Bellini, Plumber, Queensland
Please tell us who you are and what you do.
Mario Bellini: Hi, I'm Mario, from the Sunshine Coast in Queensland, single father with two young kids. I, I'm a plumber, running a couple of businesses, one in Queensland and one in South Australia. 33 years old and gone through a different stage in life, through a separation of a marriage and yeah, just starting again in the property development side of it.
Before working with Access Wealth, how would you describe your overall financial situation at the time?
Mario Bellini: Yeah, I was feeling very overwhelmed to be honest, even though I had a little bit of saving there, through my separation, wasn't, wasn't much at all, and just felt very overwhelmed, living by the week to week basis. And even times dipping into your savings and not really doing anything with what I had, so with a bit of a plan over 2 years managed to put some more aside on what we needed to do to make this process come to life, a reality.
At that stage, what challenges were getting in the way of you actually making financial progress?
Mario Bellini: Yeah, I was just finding it hard to understand what I actually could do and what I couldn't do. It was easy enough to telling yourself, you know, let's look at buying a house, but without that sort of plan. With my everyday life, with two kids and expenses as well as a bit of business stuff going on in the background and separation to then, knowing what I could and couldn't do moving forward and where I actually sit, so better to sit down with the team and come up with a proper plan, another 5 and 10 years. It was just a really clear cut throat of what I needed to do and how, how to get there.
Before speaking with Access Wealth, what concerns or doubts did you have about property investing?
Mario Bellini: And the biggest, biggest risk was just not knowing clearly what what to do I guess in the investing side of things, you know it's all well and true where you could fall in love with a place but it might be not the right time, and just knowing it's highs and lows of the property market and what areas are doing and what states are doing. So it's very clear to know researching on. What's gonna work and what's not gonna work, to give you that that best result cos at the end of the day it's you're wanting to get the best result you can and I guess in the quickest way possible in where you're to investing.
Did you have any hesitations or concerns about working with Access Wealth before starting?
Mario Bellini: No, I don't think I had any hesitations, to be honest, like coming from a business background. I feel like every day you've got to make a big choice, a decision and it could, you know, work out in your favour or not work, you're always trying and. Yeah, learning from your errors, but with this process, Access Wealth, it was clear, cutthroat from day dot. Everything was always laid out. Hours spent, explaining things, and if you weren't sure they'd explain it again. Yeah, so it made it really easy, it's probably actually if anything it was the easiest thing I've ever had to do in my life, and that's a big call because you're investing money into a property and for your future, but without any hesitation it was actually pretty, a pretty easy commitment to make.
If anything was holding you back at first, what made you decide to move forward with Access Wealth?
Mario Bellini: I don't think I really had any hesitation, to be honest, it was just, yeah, very clear for me and, John Staggs just really made the process from start to finish. Pretty clear, pretty understanding, and I was always there to answer your questions, so yeah, I don't really think I had too many hesitations, just more excited to be honest.
What was your experience like working with your strategist and the team throughout the property journey?
Mario Bellini: Yeah, this process was probably the most fun part of it all, is having all your plan going together. And then coming down to what choice and where and you know what the future. Future holds for that property, but, yeah, I couldn't credit John Staggs any more highly, just so clear. Explained themselves really well and just really made it just very easy, I guess. Nothing else to it.
Since working with Access Wealth, what progress have you seen?
Mario Bellini: Yeah, I think through this whole process to where I've got to now, it definitely helped me just understand more of my financial goals, I guess, instead of having just a bit of savings. Just saved there sitting there not really doing too much, putting it in towards something where I can use, and even greater property portfolio with the future. Yeah, it just gives us, it gives me and my two kids as well, just that stability and financial bit of freedom in the, in the near future, as that's gonna be a big part of where we move forward.
How would you describe your confidence now compared to before you started working with Access Wealth?
Mario Bellini: I think it's helped a lot, like it's still the early stages, as everything's just gone into settlement and just waiting for some approvals from the builder and council and stuff like that, but just knowing now that I've got something locked in place.
Mario Bellini: Yeah, to watch that moving forward now and watching that grow in the next 6 months, I think that it will really hit me once it's built and, tenanted out cause then I know that's my next big step in the future moving forward from that point on.
What would you say to someone sitting on the fence about property investing with Access Wealth?
Mario Bellini: Yeah, you've really got nothing to lose, just following the steps and the guidelines and doing what, You feel like you can do in your budget and what's realistic, and putting that plan in place, but once you've got that plan in place and you know where you're sitting, where you're standing, and where you wanna go, you literally can work out your future moving forward in a degree to know what you can and can't do. So who wouldn't want that in their life instead of just having money sitting there and just treading water, because doing that's not gonna get you forward. Yeah, you're gonna take a bit of a risk, but it's a small risk at the start for a long-term, big resulting goal.
