Please tell us who you are and what you do.
Emma & Keith K.: Hi, I'm Emma, and this is Keith. We're both in our 30s and we live in Perth, Western Australia. We're in the stage of our life where we have a young toddler and we're just looking to hopefully secure ourselves in retirement and look after her in the future.
Before working with Access Wealth, how would you describe your overall financial situation at the time?
Emma & Keith K.: I suppose we were comfortable, but kind of living in the moment. Weren't really kind of thinking about the future, up until, just recently where you got me onto it and we started talking about it a little bit more. Financially, we're probably, like everyone else, we had a mortgage, we had some savings, and obviously some super as well. So nothing great, but enough that we thought would be to retire with. But after speaking with Access Wealth that's not the case.
At that stage, what challenges were getting in the way of you actually making financial progress?
Emma & Keith K.: The challenges we found with this was just having the knowledge to move forward and to make a difference and to pretty much get some help going along the way, and that's why we reached out. Yeah, and realising that just paying off your mortgage, wasn't enough, to sustain yourself throughout retirement.
Before speaking with Access Wealth, what concerns or doubts did you have about property investing?
Emma & Keith K.: Our concerns we had about property investing was we didn't know what to invest in, where to invest, how much to spend, how we should invest. It was good to get some clarification on that. Yeah, and without it, I wouldn't have, pulled the trigger on any of it, and I would have just been blissfully ignorant throughout my retirement, I suppose.
Did you have any hesitations about working with Access Wealth before starting?
Emma & Keith K.: We did have some hesitations before starting with Access Wealth. We, obviously, with anything, you don't know if it's as good as it sounds, and if they're gonna go through with all the promises they're making, so far, so good. And we haven't had any hiccups at all. Anything that we've had any questions about, everyone has been very quickly to answer them. And yeah, it's just been a great process, pretty much from the start.
If anything was holding you back at first, what made you decide to move forward with Access Wealth?
Emma & Keith K.: I suppose with the hesitations that just come down to point of suppose taking a leap of faith and just seeing how professional they are during our meetings, really helped us, sort of settle our nerves and happy to go along with the process. I think also getting clarity on our finances was good to see where we sat and where we could sit in the future if we did take the leap as well.
What was your experience like working with your strategist and the team throughout the property journey?
Emma & Keith K.: Once we were on board, things went very smoothly and pretty much just like following the bouncing ball. Ben was very good. He answered any questions via email or could give us a call if we really sounded stupid, and set out a nice clear plan. So, that was great. Yeah, easy to get in touch with as well. There was a couple of times when, Ben reached out through a phone, just to touch base, make sure everything's, on track, and yeah, we really appreciate that sort of, close support.
Since working with Access Wealth, what progress have you seen?
Emma & Keith K.: So in terms of current progress, it's still quite early days uh for us, however, we do have a little bit more sense of direction of where we need to head and what that looks like. So at this stage we're, we're pretty happy with our trajectory.
How would you describe your confidence now compared to before you started working with Access Wealth?
Emma & Keith K.: So my confidence currently, I suppose it's pretty good, not just because of the knowledge that I've got from Access Wealth, but also the knowledge that they're there in the background, supporting and working with us, makes me sleep a lot easier at night.
What would you say to someone sitting on the fence about property investing with Access Wealth?
Emma & Keith K.: Working with Access Wealth, just do it. There's nothing to lose really. They are all professionals and they've done it multiple times before. It's better to have the knowledge and go through it than to just sit there and wonder. So, I definitely say jump on board and give it a crack.
