Please tell us who you are and what you do.
Chris & Sammy C.: Hi, I'm Sammy, and I'm Chris. I'm 33, and I'm 38. We've got 3 kids, we're based in the Riverina, New South Wales. I work in construction, I work in finance, and we're kind of at the stage in our lives where we're looking to reassess our super and make sure we're on the right track.
Before working with Access Wealth, how would you describe your overall financial situation at the time?
Chris & Sammy C.: Before working with Access Wealth, we hadn't really paid our superannuation any attention, nor did we really understand how it was being invested. We had quite a lot of debt and worries about retirement.
Before speaking with Access Wealth, what concerns or doubts did you have about property investing?
Chris & Sammy C.: The challenges that were getting in the way of us actually making financial progress were, we had no clear path, we just didn't focus on it, we just, sort of continued life day to day as we were without really putting much into it. And when we had thought about it, I second guessed the process and I wasn't sure if it was something that we should look at, but Access Wealth were great at talking us through the process. We didn't really know anything about investing in super, within the superannuation environment until speaking with Access Wealth, and they explained everything clearly.
Did you have any hesitations about working with Access Wealth before starting?
Chris & Sammy C.: Before speaking with Access Wealth, my concerns or doubts about using property for investing, for superannuation, I didn't really know anything about it. I knew people that had done it, but I'd never really spoken to them. I didn't really know lots about it. I'd sort of seen ads for it and I thought it might have been a good idea, and I liked the idea of the property market, so yeah that's why I reached out. It seemed super overwhelming at first, but they took us through each stage and it was, yeah, made it seem simpler than what it was.
Did you have any hesitations about working with Access Wealth before starting?
Chris & Sammy C.: It's our retirement that we're talking about, and it's a part of our life where we wanna be well set up, and we didn't really know much about it. There was some concerns. It's a company that I don't know and there's a lot of money in super. It can be seen as a risk. But yeah, once I met the team and sort of had meetings with people, it just all sort of fit into place.
If anything was holding you back at first, what made you decide to move forward with Access Wealth?
Chris & Sammy C.: We did have some hesitations to begin with, but after seeing all of the spreadsheets and information laid out clearly in front of us, it just made more sense as to why we were doing what we were doing. The team we're very trustworthy, they explained everything in detail, answer any questions we have, and it was simple.
What was your experience like working with your strategist and the team throughout the property journey?
Chris & Sammy C.: Things were explained very thoroughly at every stage of the process. We didn't skip to the next stage until it was clear that we understood what was happening, and they made a very clear plan for us, and each session they sort of come back and reiterated just to make sure we were still all on the same page. It was really good.
Since working with Access Wealth, what progress have you seen?
Chris & Sammy C.: Since working with Access Wealth, we've definitely improved our financial situation by taking the first steps towards our retirement and securing a property. It definitely was a goal of ours and without Access Wealth we wouldn't be able to achieve it. Our focus around money is a much more, much more clearer.
How would you describe your confidence now compared to before you started working with Access Wealth?
Chris & Sammy C.: I think we feel a lot more settled with our future. We've seen the numbers on the page now with how everything is predicted to go. It's nice to have some clarity around our financial future and how our life will look in retirement.
What would you say to someone sitting on the fence about property investing with Access Wealth?
Chris & Sammy C.: I think if you're sitting on the fence about whether you should work with Access Wealth, or if it's right for you, you should definitely give it a go. Have a chat to the team, see if they're able to help you. They've been nothing but helpful with us and, you never know, the fact that they were able to put out projections down on paper and you could see the numbers. It was amazing to see what position we're in now, and what we could be in in the future, so, yeah, have a chat with them and see if it's right for you.
