Julie Samora, MD, PhD, MPH, FAAOS: My name is Julie Samora and I'm a pediatric hand surgeon at Nationwide Children's Hospital in Columbus, Ohio.

Julie Samora, MD, PhD, MPH, FAAOS: As orthopaedic surgeons, we do have exposures to occupational hazards that we don't usually consider this ICL will really address how to mitigate some of these risks and give tips and tricks to really improve our work environment.

Julie Samora, MD, PhD, MPH, FAAOS: Participants will have a better understanding of noise exposure, radiation exposure and chemical exposures that we see every day in orthopaedic surgery and how to minimize these negative effects.

Julie Samora, MD, PhD, MPH, FAAOS: The faculty for this ICL are all members of the AAOS Healthcare Safety Committee, and our goal is to make the workplace safer for all of our members.

Julie Samora, MD, PhD, MPH, FAAOS: The AAOS Annual Meeting is really a meeting of the minds of people from all the various subspecialties of orthopaedics. And this is a great opportunity to network, but also learn from folks that you don't normally get to see on a day-to-day basis.
