Nick Rowe: I attended the suicide first aid course.
What was the most impactful takeaway for you?
Nick Rowe: I think the most important thing is the realisation and reinforcement of the idea that we really can make a difference by interventions and by helping and reaching out to people who are in pain. and not to turn away from that.
What one word best describes how you felt after attending this course?
Nick Rowe: I felt tremendously positive at the end of the course, I felt that, I realised the great value that this course has and that, you know, we put something like 120 people. From the alliance went on to this course, and it made me realise what a good investment of time and resources that was.
What would you say to other people considering attending this course?
Nick Rowe: I think it's, really important that people, particularly people working on the front line, seeing clients each day attend this course. But I also think it's really important for other people to attend this course if they can find the time and the resources are there, because the more people that are educated about suicide prevention, the better.
