Speaker: Dr. Alison Curdt
A little bit about me
Dr. Alison Curdt: Hi, I'm Dr. Alison. Curdt, PGA Master professional and LPGA Master Professional. I'm the director of instruction at Wood Ranch Golf Club. And I teach golfers of all abilities, but I love teaching junior golfers.
My favorite part of working with junior golfers
Dr. Alison Curdt: My favorite part about working with junior golfers is the developmental plan, taking a look at 5 to 7 years and how we want to mold and create the optimal golfer for what the junior would like to achieve is so fun. For me, it's fun to look at big picture items, how we want to develop as opposed to what we want to change right now. And so that we can see over the span of time how the junior has improved in order to reach their goals.
A few college programs my students have represented
Dr. Alison Curdt: I've worked with many junior golfers from the ages of seven and eight all the way up through their collegiate career. Some going to some top 25 D1 schools like a Stanford other to some D3 schools like a Willam in the Pacific Northwest and some NAIA a schools, the school list would be too long for me to remember. But I've coached so many different types of caliber of players that they've all been able to find a place somewhere whether that's D1, D2, D3 or NAIA.
