Speaker: Jennifer Gommerman, Professor of Immunology, University of Toronto

What inspired you to be part of the Scientific Programme at ECTRIMS 2022?

Jennifer Gommerman: Hi, my name is Jen Gommerman, and I'm a professor of immunology at the University of Toronto. I'm really excited to be attending ECTRIMS in 2022 in Amsterdam In part because it is an opportunity to learn new things about my field of study multiple sclerosis, but also a great chance to connect with colleagues from all over the world who I haven't seen for so long. I'm really excited to be part of Session 10 on B cells and T cells on the 27th of October.

What key insights do you plan to share during your session?

Jennifer Gommerman: In my scientific session on the 27th of September, the focus will be on B cells and T cells in MS and an animal models of MS. My particular work will look at how the cells within, part of the brain called the leptomeninges might be influencing pathology in the cortex in a very specific model of MS that elicits grey matter demyelination.
