Speaker: Alexa Calumpiano-Fox, AYP Groups Director

Alexa Calumpiano-Fox: My name's Alexa and I'm the groups director for AYP. The experience that I've had in serving as the AYP groups director has been such a blessing because I've been able to further develop my leadership skills as well as work together with an amazing team - dedicated to spreading God's love and truth.

What inspires you to volunteer with AYP?

Alexa Calumpiano-Fox: What inspires me to volunteer are the blessings that I have personally experienced because of AYP. I wouldn't have found what I now call my home church if it hadn't been for an AYP chapter event. And friends I have from other states and even other countries, I wouldn't have met if it wasn't for AYP group meetings.

Tell us about the exciting opportunities on your team!

Alexa Calumpiano-Fox: My team is always ready to welcome new group leaders. Along with chapter coordinators, group leaders are typically the first people of AYP that our members interact with. And while we are open to starting up all types of groups, we are currently looking for leaders to head some career-based groups, specifically entrepreneurs, nurses and educators.

How do you envision this role having a missional impact?

Alexa Calumpiano-Fox: Being a group leader for AYP is sure to have a missional impact because group leaders help to create opportunities for our members to connect with fellow believers regardless of proximity. AYP groups are spaces where people can ask questions, share experiences and gain insights about a variety of topics ranging from spiritual to professional, to relational and more.

What are steps to take if interested in learning more or applying?

Alexa Calumpiano-Fox: Anyone interested in learning about AYP groups or becoming an AYP group leader, can visit AYP.me/groups for more information and can fill out an application at AYP.me/apply.
