Speaker: Latina Baxter, Owner, Upper House Logistics

How has 2on2off changed the way you manage your DSP?

Latina Baxter: So, since using 2on2off, I will say that the biggest impact that it has had on managing our DSP is the entire scheduling process, right? So it's taken out of a lot of the manpower that we used to spend every week putting together the schedules for our drivers. And now it places that into their hands, right? So they are able to see their schedule days and days out, we're able to manage the number of employees and have more of an accurate count of the number of employees that we carry on our headcount to have coverage. And it really has, you know, had a major impact on our ability to manage the entire scheduling process, which I'm sure a lot of people know can be, take up a lot of manpower. It gives us the opportunity to focus on other things within our week other than, you know, managing the schedule. So it's been great and we are excited to implement it and have it be a part of our processes.

What challenges did you face before 2on2off, and what improvements have you noticed since adopting it?

Latina Baxter: So before using 2on2off, some of the biggest challenges that we had in our DSP were high turnover and frequent callouts, and employee exhaustion. So I will say that since implementing the 2on2off process, we have seen a significant decrease in the amount of call-offs that we have because employees are able to manage their own schedule. We've also seen a huge decrease in the amount of turnover that we've had, over the last few months since its implementation. We actually were able to go into peak season and not have to hire any additional drivers. All of our drivers that we hired prior to peak were maintained throughout the entire peak season and are still with us now. So that was really exciting. We were able to cut costs there, you know, ramping up for peak. And then I would say as far as the exhaustion goes, our drivers know that they've got a break, and that is a huge benefit to them knowing that they can go in for 2 days and that they've got 2 days off, and they're able to manage their own schedule when they do need to take time off. It has been a game changer for us.

How has 2on2off impacted your drivers, your team culture, and the overall success of your business?

Latina Baxter: So, since implementing 2on2off, I will say that our team culture, along with other changes that we've made, has been just light years' difference. We went from getting Fantastic scorecard ratings to consistently getting Fantastic Plus scorecard ratings over the last 4 months. And I, I'd like to say that a lot of this is due to our ability to keep our drivers on boarded. Them knowing that they have the break in between their schedule, we're able to have more tenured drivers, so it pushes our metrics, and helps us to achieve that Fantastic Plus rating. And overall improves the team culture because everybody is leaning in and doing their job and we don't have a lot of drivers that are continuing to be with us that aren't pulling their own weight because the more tenure you have, the stronger drivers you have. And so that helps the overall culture as well. And yeah, I mean, Putting 2on2off into place has seriously been one of the best decisions that we have made over this past year for our business. And I'm excited to see what Justin and his team have to offer for us in the upcoming years.
