Speaker: Jason Morrison, Operations Manager, IBR Logistics

How has 2on2off changed the way you manage your DSP?

Jason Morrison: Hello, the way that 2on2off has changed the way we manage our DSP is it's a lot more, simple, simplified. Employees are able to do shift swaps within the system themselves, be able to accommodate their own schedule. And, the great thing about this is you're actually able to see the information before you go ahead and process that request. So for example, it'll say that the employee is gonna be working 40 hours if he does a shift swap with Bob. And the other employee will be working 50 hours, so you can see whether or not it's gonna be creating overtime, you're able to manage the overtime a lot more easier.

What challenges did you face before 2on2off, and what improvements have you noticed since adopting it?

Jason Morrison: So with 2on2off, it's more automated. Before I have to do the schedule every single week. I have to go on every Saturday, and make sure the schedule is copied and pasted from the previous week, and then remove anybody that's not working a specific day or request a time off. Now it's automated. I don't have to go in every single week, every everything's automated through the 2on2off system, so I don't have to worry about any time off requests or anything like that. They're able to request the time off and shift swaps and extra time and voluntary time off and everything else through the 2on2off. Another great thing is that you're able to track attendance as well and there's some other things I've heard that are coming down the pipeline that's gonna be very exciting for 2on2off.

How has 2on2off impacted your drivers, your team culture, and the overall success of your business?

Jason Morrison: So I would say that our situation is a little bit unique. We've been in business for 5 years now and when we made the, excuse me, 6 years, but when we made the transition, to 2on2off, we had you know some, some, you know, pushback from employees that have been with us for a long time, which is, you know, understandable because they're used to their, routine. But, that hasn't stopped us. We moved forward with 2on2off, and I can tell you that I see a huge difference in the people that are on the 2on2off and the people that we actually kept on their regular schedule. The people on their regular schedule are a lot more worn out, especially towards the end of the week. They do start off strong, banging out the routes really quick, and, towards the end of the week, they seem to get more, worn out, so they're not going as fast, the pace that they were normally going. But, with the people that are on 2on2off, it's a great situation for them. It's like having a 2-day work week all the time. You work 2 days and you're already, you know, have 2 days off, and you work 2 days and you have 2 days off. A lot of people like that and then definitely keeps them. More energetic and more positive mood. They're more focused on their routes and I think it's a great opportunity for the, you know, employees to go ahead and get the rest that they will deserve, especially from working this hard job.
