I hold a bachelor's degree in Business management studies from Mumbai University where I was introduced to the fundamentals of accountancy throughout the three years of studying the subject, my curiosity for finance, investment and accounting grew immensely. However, my career goals, took a different turn. I envision myself becoming an investor with the primary focus on real estate. This field fascinates me due to its potential for long term wealth creation and its ability to leverage financial expertise for tangible assets.
What are your career goals over the next 3-5 years?: Over the next 3 to 5 years, my career goals include gaining a solid foundation in accounting practices and enhancing my financial analysis skills. I aim to work in a dynamic accounting firm or financial institution where I can apply my knowledge and develop a deeper understanding of the industry.
What is your long-term dream job?: My long term goal is to become a successful real estate investor. I aspire to manage a diverse portfolio of real estate assets making and financial decisions, identifying investment opportunities and contributing to the growth and sustainability of communities through responsible real estate development. This is because as I was growing, I saw my father investing in real estate and it really grew on me. Awesome.
What are you doing to prepare yourself for graduate school?: To prepare for my graduate school. I have been actively enhancing my quantitative and analytical skills keeping up to date with the industry development and networking with professionals in the field. I am committed to dedicating myself fully to my studies, contributing positively to the university community and taking advantage of the resources and opportunities that CSULB offers
Why Cal State University, Long Beach?: I believe CSULB is the ideal place to pursue my MS in accountancy for several reasons. First and foremost, the university's commitment to diversity aligns with my values fosters an inclusive a learning environment that encourages different perspectives and ideas. This is because I learned in my recent internship that a group of diverse people will produce better results than a group of actual industry experts.

I appreciate the emphasis on real world application and hands on experience which I believe will prepare me effectively for the challenges of the accounting profession.
