I am really excited about starting the sports residency because it's one step closer towards becoming an expert in the sports field, which is a patient population that I'm really excited about working with.

I am so excited to learn more about pediatrics and gain more than just a surface level understanding of this area of practice.
I hope that at the end of this, I become kind of that premier sports physical therapist in our area. And that's something that I've always dreamed of and that's always been my goal as a PT and why I kind of got into the profession.
I'm most looking forward to the mentorship and the growth that's gonna take place over the next year.

I really love to learn, and so by having that kind of that structured opportunity to deepen my professional knowledge and then apply it with the families and kiddos and teens that I work with.
With this program, I hope to just become a more well rounded clinician and improve in both clinical and soft skills to better support and meet the needs of my patients and their families.

So I am most excited about taking classes that I have been meaning to take. But I haven't had the time to I know that I am, I am interested in taking feeding classes and Myo just so that I can learn some techniques to apply for when I'm treating articulation kiddos.
What I am most excited about is being able to take these courses within a cohort of clinicians that really want to continue growing and learning as well.

My name is Kinsey Butler. I'm from Chesapeake, Virginia and I will be doing the pediatric speech program in the 2025
I feel like there is so much more to learn from just from our schooling. And I'm just excited to give my patients a new outlook on things and give them more information and be better at more hands on techniques and just over and all just be the better physical therapist.
I am most excited to really just work alongside other SLPs and have that cohort experience as we grow and learn more to help our patients back in the clinic.
I'm most looking forward to enhancing my knowledge of various pediatric conditions and deepening my expertise as a pediatric clinician.
I am most excited about getting to increase my knowledge of the pediatric population by learning new treatment methods and ideas based on current research on diagnoses that I treat regularly as well as exposure to areas that I am less versed in.
I think that's one of the things I'm most passionate about is that continued learning and it's really becoming the best clinician that I can be.
I absolutely love this interdisciplinary care, and I'm very excited. I hope that I can improve in my manual skills, evidence based practice.
Not just the physical therapy, part of pediatrics, but also OT and speech because I know we work a lot together and it's just exciting to be able to meet new people, bounce ideas off and learn a lot more.
