Speaker: Annie Brinton, Sales Development Representative
Let's meet Annie!
Annie Brinton: Hi! My name is Annie. I am a Sales Development Representative here at Wonolo. Next week is actually my one year anniversary of being here! Which is just still so wild to me. The year has flown by and I currently am in Knoxville, Tennessee.
What events in your life have brought you to your current role today?
Annie Brinton: So I went to college in Bowling Green, Kentucky at Western Kentucky University. Go Tops! I graduated in May of 2021 and during my time there, I nannied for a family and the mom was a Recruiter and her position really intrigued me. So when I was trying to figure out what I wanted to do after college, I figured why not look into recruiting and see if that be something that I wanted to do. And I ultimately landed a job as an Industrial Recruiter with a traditional staffing agency and it was definitely an experience. I learned a lot from that job, but it wasn't fulfilling everything that I was looking for and what I wanted to do with my career and advance in that area. So I reached out to a friend who works at Wonolo, Judd Wissel. He's on the Sales Team and he let me know that they would be hiring SDRs in the coming months and he would send my resume over to Erin. So that's kind of how I got started in this role and I'm forever grateful that I landed this position.
What was the first thing that caught your eye about Wonolo? What made you decide to join?
Annie Brinton: So there were so many things that caught my eye during the interview process, but the number one thing was the people and how passionate they were about this company. It was something that I immediately just wanted to be a part of. They embodied the "One team, One dream" aspect, and it was a really cool thing to see as an outsider, just how passionate they were about the company.
What is one of your favorite memories at Wonolo?
Annie Brinton: This question is so easy for me to answer. About a month into my time here at Wonolo, we had our marketing off-site and we were going to one of our events for the night and I had lived in Nashville at the time so I had my car available and they were asking people to, you know, fill their cars up to take other Wonoloers to the event for the night. So I told them how many people I could take and Yong, our CEO, needed a ride. And so he hopped into my passenger seat of my 2015 Jeep Compass, a tiny little car, and I drove him around for the night. And the entire time, I was just praying, please do not wreck, please do not wreck with our CEO in the car. I had only been with this company for a month and I wanted to make a good impression. So that is a memory that I will carry around forever.
Please finish this sentence: if you really knew me, you would know that ______ .
Annie Brinton: If you really knew me, you would know that I put my heart and soul into everything that I do. If I set my mind to something, I'm going to get the job done no matter what I have to do to get there. And that is one thing that I truly love about Wonolo is, not only do they support that, but they uplift me and they help me get there.
