Speaker: Chris Pöhl, Consultant

What motivated you to enrol in the “How to Pass a Prop Firm Challenge” course?

Chris Pöhl: Hey, guys, my name is Chris here. I just wanted to share the main reason why I actually started the Stock Market College, how to pass funded accounts. It's because I've been struggling with my emotions when it comes to trading. I'm sure you guys would all understand, you know how to make your target profits, but once you make your target profits, you tend to push yourself to try and make more, and that's what I've been suffering from. So through the course, it's helped me to actually control my emotions. Secondly, was to mainly calculate risks and rewards, to know that, OK, if I'm trading a bigger tradable instruments, what volumes should I use? So obviously, that's one thing which I struggled with mainly.

How did the course improve your understanding of the prop firm challenge process?

Chris Pöhl: So how has the course actually improved my understanding on how to pass a Prop Firm Challenge is actually the rules. Actually, when you start your course, it, it stipulates how the funded accounts work, what Prop Firms are, which is very exciting because before I started, I didn't know what anything was. And now going through the course with them updating me before going to learning how to control my emotions, calculate risks, understanding the difference between a scalp trader and the different types of different traders, and understanding the different time zones when to trade and all of that. Um, It actually gave me a bit more confidence that actually, the rules are not actually hard. The only thing that you need to do is manage risks. If you are able to manage risks and you put away your emotions and you follow your stop loss and take profits, And you have a trading goal. If you know that, OK, my target profit is 10%, I've got 20 trading days or 10 trading days, the goal is that you don't have to make your target profit in one day. Even if you drag it onto those 10 trading days, it means that you only need to make a target profit of 1% consistently for the next 10 trading days. And that's something that actually blew my mind away because there's no point in making your target profits there and then. Uh, if you have a minimum of 10 trading days, rather use those to your advantage instead of you over leveraging on one day to make your target profits on one day. But, however, the course actually Improved my understanding the rules in detail instead of just rushing.

What was the most valuable lesson, strategy, or insight you gained from the course?

Chris Pöhl: Hey, the most valuable lesson that I personally got out of this course is, it's two important things. Controlling my emotions and also learning how to calculate risks and rewards. And actually, lastly, is, is that you have to have a trading plan. If you don't have a trading plan, it will be very hard for you to actually pass and follow the rules that are given in order for you to get funded.

Did this course help you pass your prop firm challenge, or do you now feel more confident in passing it? How?

Chris Pöhl: Hey, so, funny enough, I did some of my funded accounts before I did the course, and I was making my target profits, making them. And then on my last one or two trades, I would fail on my drawdown cause, cause when I would be trading, I would be rushed to make the target profit and not think about the trading days and all. And once I went through the course, I finished it and I started my, my free-funded account that I got from the course. And funny enough, I passed it because I literally had a trading goal. Without a trading goal, you won't go anywhere.

Would you recommend this course to other traders? If so, what makes it a must-have for someone looking to pass a prop firm challenge?

Chris Pöhl: I would encourage people to actually do the course, actually. So before you do your funded accounts, take time out, invest into the course because at the beginning of the course, it takes you through the rules, how to understand it, how to actually execute it, to actually secure yourself a funded account. So when you do start it, you know exactly what to do. And then as much as I'm pretty sure all of us out there, we've studied so many things. We followed so many people on social media, YouTube. They've shown you so many different strategies. However, you, you can learn the strategies, but you, but if you don't have a trading goal and if you don't know the actual ins and outs of a funded account and how a Prop Firm actually works, you will struggle. So I do encourage people, before you start a funded account, go out, invest, learn, acquire the right skills on how to actually understand how a Prop Firm works. And with that, you will have the right confidence and knowledge that will allow you to apply and actually pass. So I would encourage you guys invest into this thing.
