Speaker: Harrison Hurt
Please introduce yourself and let us know how long you have been in coaching!
Harrison Hurt : Hello, my name is Harrison. Her and I've been in coaching for around a year now.
What was your main reason for wanting to join Student Coaching?
Harrison Hurt : My main reason for joining the coaching was to grow my leadership skills so I can take that anywhere. Like my soccer team I play on and one day take over business and just use all the leadership skills I've learned.
What is your coach like? AND Are they a good fit for you?
Harrison Hurt : My coach, Vance is one of the best dudes I know with leadership and all that. He's really, he's really smart in that sense and he played football and he's like, he's super cool and he's the perfect fit for me. Like I would want no other coach but him.
What is your favorite thing OR the most important thing that you have learned in coaching so far?
Harrison Hurt : One of my favorite things I've learned, which actually I use the most is I've learned how to read a room better and like, check on my surroundings. So when I walk in a place, um how like immediately where, like what's happening in it, everyone's like, kind of what vibe, I guess you could say, are they giving off and also my leadership skills, like how to go talk to my coach about different stuff about the team and how to be a leader amongst my friends and all that.
What advice would you give to someone who is thinking about joining Student Coaching?
Harrison Hurt : The advice I would give would be totally do it. It's probably one of the best decisions that I have made. It's been a big help to me. I, I think about it all the time. He's helped me do a bunch of stuff, create good habits that I would never do without him. So thanks to him or thanks to the coaching, I've done, I've stepped up my game a lot and helped me become a better person. So I would just say go for it.
If you could tell your coach anything, what would you want to tell them?
Harrison Hurt : If I could tell Vance anything, I would just tell him, I'm so thankful for him and that he's really helped me. And I'm like, I'm just super thankful and I'm, I'm so thankful. I like, got to be with him. I'm grateful for him and he's just, he just, it always, like, I'm always excited when I know I have a coaching call with him. He's like, he makes me smile, makes me laugh. So I, I would just say I'm very thankful for him.
