What led you to use the Real Links Employee Referral platform?

Nick Greenland: As a startup within the automotive manufacturing world, there's a number of challenges, that we were faced with and still are, but probably from a recruitment perspective, one of the big, big challenges for us was hiring at speed, but also in very, very large numbers. And within the industry you don't just recruit anybody. These are very highly skilled and sought after people and a lot of them could be with a very niche skill set that are very hard to find. So we wanted to have a really successful and efficient referral process within Volta Trucks. We explored lots of different options. Real Links we felt was a really good way of introducing people's networks and connections and family friends, ex colleagues to Volta trucks, in a very effective way and manner.

Describe your experience using the Real Links campaign approach to employee referrals.

Nick Greenland: We use Real Links now as part of our recruitment in general it's a really useful tool for us. And it definitely forms part of our strategic plan moving forward. One of the benefits of that is the campaigns enable you to target specific departments at any one time. So if you know there's going to be a number of roles say within I.T. or software which are typically very difficult roles to fill anyway. You're able to plan that out somewhat and you're able to put the building blocks in place to to facilitate that hiring plan then later in the year or wherever it may be. Very very simple to use. Everybody has said so far that it's not time consuming in any way shape or form. So the the speed in which we're growing and we're working at is remarkable and and people don't want to be bogged down with lots of different processes and lots of different signing in things. So a simple 1 click sign on all links to Microsoft etcetera. Very very easy, straightforward and self explanatory which is perfect.

What results have you seen so far - and would you recommend the Real Links referral platform?

Nick Greenland: From a results perspective, we've been very, very impressed with with what's happened so far, there was a successful launch into the business of the platform. The first few months were very focused around adoption and engagement and getting that referral message across to the business so that it becomes standard practice and embedded into the company. But so far very impressed. I think we've done 17 hires through the platform in three months or just over three months, 46 interviews and well over 1500 shares through social media channels and the like like. so definitely positive and out of those 17 hires, there's some really difficult roles that we filled that probably would have taken a lot of time in sourcing and lots of other time as well from the team to find these people. So the fact that we've actively got brand ambassadors across the business that are actively pushing our jobs through LinkedIn and WhatsApp and all the other social media channels that you're able to use the platform on is fantastic. Obviously good people, no other good people across the industry outside of the industry. So not only is it helping us recruit very good people, very skilled people sought after skillsets, but we're able to also build our brand and get the Volta Trucks name out there and people naturally then will be visiting the website, taking an interest in the business overall. So I think it's definitely a very good recruitment tool and a referral tool and platform, but there are also other benefits to using it, social engagement and brand awareness. And it can form part of marketing strategies, brand strategy. So overall big thumbs up from myself and Volta Trucks and would highly recommend the platform definitely.
