Dr. Loretta Bond: I think being a nurse educator is really ultimately what I was destined to be. As I just think about my years in nursing education and how I feel so comfortable here, and not comfortable in a way of being complacent, but comfortable in a way of feeling that this is a fit and this is right for me to educate the next generation of students or nurses. Nurses really have such a central role and really with the complexity of patients, it is so important to have excellence in terms of our role modeling, to our students, to have excellence in that role modeling, and to see that role as being crucial and critical to the recovery of the patient so that patients can actually reach their optimal status. I love being a nurse educator and what it means to me is really, this is what I was destined to do.
