Speaker: Kevin Rudny, Owner, Dragon's Den Gaming
Tell us about your small business and why you started it!
Kevin Rudny: So my business name is Dragon's Den Gaming and what we are is a small family owned local gaming store which we've had in the works for sometime. My family and I have been avid role playing gamers, tabletop, role playing games, war gaming, online role playing games for the better part of two decades now. And it was my goal, especially when the pandemic started to have a space, a safe space for kids and adults alike as the world of gaming is multifaceted in our demographic. And we wanted to have a safe, healthy space where people could come and enjoy games together, we could come together and we can provide people with a new experience. We've been working to open our physical location, which unfortunately hasn't happened quite yet, so we operate strictly online. But you know we're getting to where we want to be and we hope that one day we'll be able to actually get to take off and have that beautiful physical location where we can have everybody in with their friends to sit down, roll some dice, shuffle some cards and breakout board games and just have fun.
Why did you apply for financing with Lendio?
Kevin Rudny: So we applied with Lendio originally because it was the first thing that popped up on Google and after going back and forth with a few other companies, we wound up coming back to Lendio to actually submit our formal application because it provided the easiest framework to get our information out there, to find what we might be capable of obtaining, which gave us a much better idea of where we could go in the future as far as a physical storefront was concerned. So you know, while we did look around, Lendio was our first and then our final stop. and we turned away all other companies in the process just because the ease of access, the amount of offers that were on the table and the specifics about the offers were really intuitive for somebody like myself who really enjoys analytics. I like to see the numbers, the raw numbers, you know, what are my odds of X, Y and Z? What are my percentage rates? What is my buying or what is my borrowing power? It all kind of came together and provided a perfect scenario for us and here we are today, still going strong taking all the emails that they send in all of the information that's provided for us into account as far as our future business plans
What one word would you use to describe your experience with Lendio?
Kevin Rudny: What one word would I use to describe my experience with Lendio? Oh boy, It's simple, it was very simple, and that's all we can ask for in a very complex day and age.
