An introduction to Reahn...
Reahn Barr: Hi, my name is Reahn. I live in Coomera with my husband and my young daughter. I work part time and get to stay at home with my daughter part time and my husband works full time. We've been on the hunt for a property for a little while now.
What motivated you to contact to InvestLogic (formerly Over & Above)?
Reahn Barr: I contacted Over & Above to help on our property hunt because we've been looking, we've been thinking about re-investing for a little while. I've got some extra cash from a previous property sale and was looking for ways to put that into something other than the bank and make our money work for us. So Over & Above were super helpful and got on board really quickly to help us look for a property to invest our money so that we can make some really wise decisions.
What concerns did you have about investing in a property or using a buyer's agent?
Reahn Barr: I've never used a buyer's agent before, and I wasn't really skeptical. I guess I had full faith that an agency like that knew what they were doing knew more about property than I did and were able to really wear us down the right track and help us make some clever decisions. I had invested previously, but purchased property on my own. Some wise, some not so wise decisions. And I think looking for a buyer's agent just made all of the decisions and considerations so much easier for us.
What outcome was achieved for you?
Reahn Barr: Within a few months of starting out with Mark and the team, We managed to secure a property in Queensland, an area that we weren't necessarily looking at. But they'd read us towards that decision based on a number of different considerations. And we purchased a property that is now positively geared and bringing us great rental income above 5%. And it's kind of a set and forget. My agent is looking after it for us and so far so good.
What would you say to others who may be thinking about engaging InvestLogic (formerly Over & Above)?
Reahn Barr: Whether you've used a buyer's agent or not before, I would highly recommend heading down that road. It just made the process so much simpler for us, much more, less stress free. And it was a lot less time for us. We didn't have to spend days scrolling the net looking for properties. We give them our details, we indicate what sort of property we're looking for, the what, the where, the how, the why. They do all the hunt for you. It made things a lot easier and it also gave us an opportunity to bounce ideas of someone professional in the space that knows the stuff and really gives you a leg up when you're submitting offers and going through the purchasing or buying process because they know what they're doing, they know how to negotiate sales and they know how to get things over the line really quickly. That was a huge plus for us. And one of the main reasons I would recommend using a buyer's agent.
