Kathleen Oakes: At Mason High School, we were doing summer school very traditionally, for about 2 to 3 weeks, right when the students got out. And what we were finding is students were only able to recover about a half a credit. So by partnering with Graduation Alliance and allowing them to utilize almost the whole summer and not our staff, the students, we found, were gaining much more credit, and able to recover a lot more so that they could go into their next year caught up or more caught up than they were before.
