What does your company do and what is your role there?
Dave Burt: Quantexa is a fast growth global decision intelligence software company that empowers organizations to make trusted decisions by making data meaningful. The Quantexa platform uses entity resolution and network intelligence to connect data at scale into truly single views. We support the entire value chain in many industries financial services through to government. My name is Dave, I head up a cloud platform team here at Quantexa. We provide GCP services both to our customers, but also to underpin all of our internal software development.
Why did you choose Google Cloud?
Dave Burt: GCP was the best fit for Quantexa when we started using the cloud in anger over five years ago. We've got a very modern software stack, which is very containerized, so we wanted to make use of GKE as the leading Kubernetes provider. Also the entity resolution and network analytics capabilities of the Quantexa platform make very heavy use of big data technologies, and Google Cloud Dataproc and various other technologies in the GCP stack are obviously very appealing for us. Our DevOps engineers also really like how easy it is to work with Google. More recently, we've been working with Google to develop some joint go to market strategies. They also represent a really good sales channel for us in terms of the Google marketplace.
What have you achieved using Google Cloud solutions?
Dave Burt: We've been on quite the journey with GCP over the last five years of using it. We've gone from a couple of developers with just a handful of servers to now tens of environments running across our estate. We also now allow our customers to get hands on with the entity resolution and network intelligence capabilities of the Quantexa platform. This is all now hosted on our secure GCP environments, which are now SOC 2 certified. We have also done quite a lot of work with our clients who use GCP on their own cloud tenants. One of the highlights of this is the work that we've done with HSBC. So Quantexa have helped HSBC build one of their fraud and financial crime solutions, which combines components from both the Quantexa stack, but also the GCP stack for a solution that's the best of both worlds.
What are your future plans for working with Google Cloud?
Dave Burt: Quantexa are looking forward to continuing to work with GCP. There's a few new technologies that were keen to get our hands on and have a play around with so Vertex AI and the serverless spark options, just to name a couple. We're also working with Google to open up new sales channel for Quantexa, so we're hoping to get the Quantexa software out there on the Google Cloud marketplace, as well as discussing other joint go to market offerings.
