What does your department look like today vs prior to the CBA?
Hayley Brewer: As of October 1st, APFA Health had to request a reduction in workweek, which was passed by the board. Prior to the CBA, APFA Health had the ability to provide more rep on duty coverage and hours to the membership. Typically, we could provide one to a half rep Monday through Friday to field all of the incoming calls, emails or texts, as well as perform follow-up to the flight attendants for ongoing cases. Today, we operate with one rep Monday through Thursday on a first come, first served basis. It's not unusual for the rep on duty to not be able to follow up to each flight attendant that has sent an inquiry for that day or perform all of the necessary follow-up to flight attendants with ongoing cases. We're currently operating in a deficit where we're not quite able to meet the demands or needs of the membership.
