Speaker: Gina Gillis

What's your background?

Gina Gillis: Hello My name is Gina, and I'm on the Client Success team here on the Mid-Market side at Ada. I am based in downtown Toronto, and I've been with Ada for just shy of a month.

What is the remote culture like at Ada?

Gina Gillis: The culture at Ada is palpable from day one, there's a huge focus on employee happiness and well-being. From the super competitive benefits and all the perks to planning remote games and activities that are actually a blast to be a part of, which isn't an easy feat over zoom and other channels. One thing that I was pleasantly surprised by is the actual first three days as an Ada owner, all new owners begin on Wednesday, so you're starting with a group of peers that you're going on a journey on with and you can lead on them and become friends with them, even if they're from completely different teams and through those first three days you get to know everything that you need to know about the company, how to log benefits, who's who, where to find all the information you need, and it was a really nice way to sort of dip my toe into being a new Ada owner instead of doing like a cannonball into multiple team meetings, working with some of my super busy team members who of course are happy to help it at any time.

What qualities do people need to be successful here at Ada?

Gina Gillis: The three qualities that come to mind for potential new ADA owners I think you need to be communicative, curious, and collaborative.

What do you love about working at Ada, and being part of the Client Success team?

Gina Gillis: Something I love about Ada is that you're never going to be the smartest person in the room. There's always so much that you can learn from the people around you and they're more than willing to help get you there.
