Please tell us about your experience with the ACI Learning Apprenticeship.
Samuel Nieves Jr: My experience with the ACI Learning's apprenticeship was amazing all the way from the start, the ease of the interview coming in to the on-boarding, to working and being able to go to class at the same time, it was just an amazing experience. I am truly blessed and humbled to be able to do this and learn hands on through this program.
What was the most surprising thing about the apprenticeship experience?
Samuel Nieves Jr: What was the most surprising thing about this apprenticeship experience for me that would have to be how easy I found it to transition from school to work and able to come in and use everything that I learned in class, day to day at work. I thought it would be a lot harder and it really wasn't. It's a smooth transition and it was very surprising to me. It's a great experience. I love it.
Do you think the apprenticeship experience has set you up to achieve your personal/professional goals? In what ways?
Samuel Nieves Jr: Do I feel that the apprenticeship has set me up for my personal professional goals? Definitely 1000%. I came in with little to no knowledge of IT world and just being hands on here at EK3 technologies has helped me so, so much. I mean I can't even put into words, being able to do everything here hands on and then go into class and learning. It's just been a blessing and it has definitely set me up for my future goals.
What’s one piece of advice you might give to someone considering apprenticeship as a career pathway?
Samuel Nieves Jr: What's one piece of advice that I would give to someone who's thinking of using an apprenticeship as a career pathway that would be to do it, it's one of the best ways to get hands on experience, to dive in and learn from other people that have been in the industry way longer. And they have the knowledge to help you excel and to teach you things not only by the book, but hands on, which is one of the best ways to learn. And it gives you the experience you need that you can put on your resume later on. So I would tell him to do it, jump on it and don't look back.
