Miguel-Angelo Almeida: My name is Miguel Angelo Almeida I'm a Compliance Executive out of Mozambique.
How did you hear about ACCPA? Did you know about ACCPA before joining?
Miguel-Angelo Almeida: I heard about ACCPA from a former colleague in the banking industry who recommended me to renowned AML Training institute.
Why did you choose the ACCPA Certification?
Miguel-Angelo Almeida: I chose ACCPA predominantly because it is affordable. It is offered in multiple languages, particularly Portuguese which is essential in Mozambique. Very good case studies, applicable to Africa. Unlike most of the other certifications being offered at the time.
How much knowledge did you gain from your ACCPA certification course?
Miguel-Angelo Almeida: Notwithstanding my professional experience, the ACCPA certification offered me new insights, new ways of working. I learned a lot not only from the course itself but from other members, knowledge sharing, new platforms, so it was worth my while.
Would you recommend the ACCPA Certification to other professionals?
Miguel-Angelo Almeida: I must confess, at first, I was skeptical, considering how much offer there was in the market. There were a lot of world-class courses. So I was like, what is this ACCPA stuff? But I don't regret the decision at all I benefited a lot from it I would recommend to any professional, especially in compliance or AML space. It's very, very relevant for African professionals. Unlike many of the other offers which are very abstract, especially if you're working in the continent. So there you go, you should really take a chance on this one.
