Speaker: Nidhi Patel-Joshi
Where are you in your PA student journey and which part have you enjoyed the most?
Nidhi Patel-Joshi: So I'm a second year PA student currently and I've enjoyed learning about different body systems in the year and a half of my didactic education. When I first started PA school, I was really nervous about how I will ever know this much medicine in such a short amount of time. But I'm impressed at how things have turned out to be. So I feel more confident in my ability to treat a patient. And I know I still have a year and a half to go, but I really think the program really prepares you. So just learning the process and seeing things come together is what I've enjoyed the most. I've also learned a lot from my other experiences. So my AAPA leadership experience, my extracurriculars at USC, whether it was with street medicine population or whether it was with Pre-PA students. I really enjoyed how all of these experiences have contributed to my PA education and made me a different human being than I actually entered the program. So it's cool to see how I've progressed in myself, personally and professionally.
