I played this to a few of my friends uh last night for dinner over a few drinks,  and some of the things that my friends mentioned that they enjoyed was the nostalgia of this record and taking us back to a time, when we were a bit younger...
Their debut album jeers and sneers its way through moments of pub rock nostalgia and post punk theatre along the drive...
It's the sort of thing that I guess draws a lineage back to prog rock music from the seventies.  And that's, I guess part of their DNA in a way there's definitely hints of prog rock, prog metal synthesizer rock, kind of electronic weirdness that sort of I guess starts in the late sixties and we see it come through all sorts of music...
The album could be described as ambient dark cinematic pop which really interested me, especially the cinematic element of this....

It's fun. It's kooky. There's  lots of different vibes on this record. Lots of different moods. There's like cocktail hour stuff and Sunday morning recovery vibes. There's a little bit of sixties, guitar, sixties, garage rock and more laid back, classy cocktail vibes...
I would say one of my favourite tunes would be Spent. It's just pop plus, close second would be Apocalypse, which is the track after that, it just comes in with  lots of hooks...
Everything is very, very dynamic, very warm. It's so full for a three piece,  it's just beautiful...
We've got Butter Knife by Death Wish, which is this real, eighties throwback pop track with like beautiful FM synth tones. And I really like the syncopated vocal hook...
